Jonathan Elliott offers a friendly, punctual and flexible service that can include Saturdays and evenings where possible.

- Boiler Service

Our boiler service would typically take up to one hour to complete.

This would consist of a gas leak test on the pipework and appliances from the meter.  A clean and check of the boiler to the manufacturers’ instructions including combustion analysis and calibration, topping up of the heating system and checking of the expansion vessel.

A general safety check and discussion with the customer of any safety issues they may be worried about is done.

- Magnetic Filter Fitting

We supply and install ‘Magnaclean’ sludge filters .

This is a sludge filter that would usually take about one hour to fit, it has no wiring, batteries or moving parts or filters to be replaced but needs to be cleaned on a 1 to 2 year basis usually in conjunction with a boiler service depending how dirty the system is. Most boiler manufacturers recommend that a Magnaclean be fitted and a lot of local councils in UK and Ireland insist on them being fitted in their properties.

- Carbon Monoxide Alarms

We can also supply and fit carbon monoxide alarms to protect you and your family and give advice on the best locations for these devices as the siting is very important depending on types of boiler and where the boiler or appliances are situated in the house.

- Boiler Replacement

In the event that your boiler needs replacement we can also quote and advise on the various types and makes available with an emphasis on the better quality manufacturers.

- Power Flushing

This is usually done when a circulation problem has been identified in the heating system, eg. radiators not heating, cold spots etc.

It is basically a power washing of the inside of the heating system with a special machine and chemicals to remove sludge and debris from the pipework and radiators and should normally take 5-6 hours to complete. The system is then treated with an inhibitor which is a chemical that prevents the problem from recurring.
